Our History
Hello, my name is Timothy Schmekel, and I am the owner of Colorado True North Inc. I started Colorado True North, Inc. a construction company using my experiences as a Navy rescue swimmer, wildland firefighter and music event coordinator. These three seemingly unrelated jobs share many common traits: Serving the community, situational awareness, leadership through inspiration and discipline, attention to detail, flexibility, excellence, coordination of multiple processes, communication, big picture view and vision. I saw these skills could easily be transferred to any kind of construction project, large or small. With each project we successfully completed, I would re-evaluate every step of the process to find opportunities to improve.
This dedication to improvement was easily noticeable by the client. Two things give me great joy. The first is a job well done. I walk out knowing we gave our best to the client and nothing keeps me up at night. The second is a client who didn’t have to stress or worry throughout the project and when completed, it’s what they had envisioned. We vet our sub-contractors and vendors to have the same ethics as Colorado True North Inc. Your home is your sanctuary. It’s your safe place. When we or our sub-contractors walk into your home it is with this understanding and respect.
